In the 19th century Kazimierz Girtler leased land estates in various parts of Malopolska, e.g. in Kalina Mala near Miechow, and he ardently wrote memoirs in which he recorded the life and customs of people living in villages and country houses of Malopolska province and Miechowska region and described the events that took place there in the 19th c. The 10-volume manuscript of Kazimierz Girtler, discovered in the heap of rubbish, is currently exhibited in the National Library PAU and PAN in Cracow. The memoirs are recited by KRZYSZTOF GÓRECKI, an actor of Ludowy Theatre, with accompaniment of music concerts, frequented by the descendents of Polish nobility inhabiting the country houses of the Miechowska Region. The event has an honorary patronage of the Marshal of Malopolska Province, Mr MAREK SOWA.
